SWL contesting is an activity where contest participants listen to and log as many transmiting contest amateur radio stations as possible within a certain time frame, usually 24 hours.

A principle of SWL contesting is based on tuning through amateur radio bands, listening contacts between amateur radio contest stations and logging details of QSOs such as a heard station call sign, contest code, which can be a serial number of the contest connection, WAZ or ITU zone number, etc. A call sign of the station which worked with the listened station must also be put in the contest log. Participants of the contest send their contest logs for scoring after finish the one.

SWL contesting requires good listening skills and knowledge of propagation conditions. This can gain only by participating in contests. So let’s to do it!
